Hi fellow cruisers,

The purpose of these 'Rendezvous Nights’ is to offer topics that are both educational and inspirational to our group of cruising sailors.

Glenn Sanders, our December guest is no exception. He and Steve Ferguson aboard ‘Tom Bowling’ (Salar 40’) sailed to Port Davey, which is on every sailor’s bucket list, then continued up the West coast to complete a circumnavigation of Tasmania, including Flinders Island. Now, I am sure you will all agree…that is something pretty special!

In one month and 1,045 nautical miles, the two visited — and photographed — the breathtaking scenery of Port Davey and Bathurst Harbour, the Gordon River, and the West coast of Flinders Island. Glenn will also de-mystify some of the sailing challenges including Hell’s Gates, the St Helen’s Bar and the Potboiler Shoals. Glenn has documented the trip with an informative collection of photos and between he and Steve, will open our eyes to what is possible. 

Glenn & Steve’s presentation is one not to be missed…may it’s something you might like to do or just simply admire others who have gone out there and done it!
