M.L Egeria to follow the Cygnet Regatta in 2025

Built in the Purdon and Featherston yard at Battery Point and launched on 20 October 1941, the 18.9 metre "ML Egeria" is a classic antique vessel built from Huon Pine and Teak, and has performed various roles over the decades - from patrolling the Derwent for the Royal Australian Navy as a Naval Auxilliary launch during World War 2, to carrying visiting dignitaries including Prince Charles and Princess Dianna.
The Motor Yacht Club of Tasmania (MYCT) is now home to the ML Egeria. She continues to undertake official duties for Tasmanian Governors and is also referred to as the "Governors Yacht".
